Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar membership in good standing.
• 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or personal injury litigation.
• Experience handling depositions and courtroom advocacy.
• Experience with evidentiary and legal argument, including direct- and cross-examination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters with professionalism and precision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and litigation software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with trial preparation and managing high-stakes litigation.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Advocacy: Represent clients as lead counsel in depositions, court hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Litigation Management: Handle complex commercial and personal injury litigation.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and apply precedents.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, filings.
• Strategic Legal Counsel: Advise on litigation strategy and risk management.
• Settlement Negotiations: Seek favorable resolutions when appropriate.
• Collaboration: Work with attorneys, staff, clients, and experts.
• Case Management: Oversee discovery, motion practice, witnesses, trial, and post-trial.
• Billing and Documentation: Maintain time records and client invoicing.
