Job summary

Old North State Masonry, LLC is seeking a Commercial Masonry Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial and multifamily projects across North Carolina and South Carolina. You will supervise foremen, coordinate crews, read plans, enforce safety, and ensure on‑time, high‑quality execution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial masonry with 2+ years in a supervisory role, strong leadership, and travel between NC/SC job sites. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of commercial masonry experience.
• At least two years in a foreman, supervisor, or superintendent role.
• Experience supervising multiple projects and field crews.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee masonry operations across multiple commercial projects.
• Supervise, support, and mentor several foremen and field crews.
• Coordinate manpower, schedules, equipment, materials, and jobsite access between projects.
• Conduct daily and weekly planning to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Monitor labor productivity, installed quantities, and progress against schedules.
• Ensure brick, CMU, veneer, and stonework meet plans and quality standards.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electronic drawings; coordinate with general contractors and project managers.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and field issues to prevent delays; communicate potential change‑order work to management.
• Complete and review daily reports, time records, progress docs, safety paperwork, and incident reports.
• Inspect completed work and oversee punch‑list completion; support training and development.
