Job summary

Acme Lock & Door in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced Commercial Locksmith & Door Hardware Technician to install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic door hardware for commercial security and access control systems. The role supports project teams and ensures high quality workmanship in the field.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with locksets, exit devices, and electronic locking systems, and can read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years installing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial locksets, exit devices, and door hardware.
• Strong knowledge of mortise and cylindrical locksets, SFIC/LFIC, and panic hardware.
• Ability to read blueprints and hardware schedules.
• Willingness to pass background check and drug screening.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic door hardware.
• Prepare openings for larger security integration installations.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
• Document completed work and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with codes and manufacturer specs.
• Support on-demand locksmith service requests.
• Work independently or with project teams.
