Job summary

CleanSpace in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Technician to lead troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of commercial-grade HVAC systems, including multi-zone heating and cooling, and central energy management systems.

Candidates must reside in the Greater Boston area, have at least six years of related HVAC experience, and hold EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six years of related HVAC trade experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
• A degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
• Develop HVAC system modification plans and prepare cost estimates for renovation and remodel projects.
• Create preventive maintenance checklists for new equipment and document ongoing maintenance activities.
• Interpret building blueprints, as-built drawings, mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Recommend HVAC system modifications for renovation projects in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Research and select materials and equipment for HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Lead the installation of HVAC components requiring controls programming and integration with central control systems.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
• Provide technical guidance and training to other technicians as needed.
