Job summary
Progressive Mechanical Services, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Service Technician – Lead Commercial HVAC/R Service & Maintenance in Elmhurst, IL. 100% local travel, full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Salary $34–$52/hour plus performance bonus; EPA Universal certification required. You will lead complex service and maintenance for premier Chicagoland facilities, mentoring under ownership and ensuring reliable operation of mission-critical systems for clubs, fitness centers, and managed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on service experience in commercial HVAC.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex systems independently.
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time within the service region.
- Strong organizational skills for field documentation and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex commercial HVAC/R systems to provide long-term solutions.
- Perform precision maintenance and repairs on chillers and refrigeration units.
- Coordinate daily service calls and communicate with facility managers.
- Document service reports, invoices and work orders with accuracy.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards on-site.
- Represent the company as primary field contact, no sales pressures.
