Job summary

Schwickert’s Tecta America in Lawrence, KS, seeks a Commercial HVAC-R Service Lead to launch and grow our service presence. You will lead hands-on service, grow a customer base, and work with project teams to deliver high-quality results, earning trust with customers from day one.

The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and starting pay ranges from $38-$50 per hour based on experience. A leadership track and strong administrative duties accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial HVAC-R service experience.
• Installation experience preferred but not required.
• Independent work and workload management.
• Documentation, reporting, invoicing, and follow-up.
• Sales skills and ability to close Planned Service Agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Desire to grow into a leadership role.
• EPA Certification required; additional certifications a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial HVAC-R service, maintenance, and repairs independently.
• Sell and manage Planned Service Agreements with commercial customers.
• Manage all service administration tasks: Prepare HVAC Tracker reports, submit invoicing, track activity.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, coordinators, and leadership.
• Provide timely feedback to customers on findings, repairs, and solutions.
• Assist in growing a customer base in the Lawrence, KS market.
• Collaborate with leadership on future staffing needs as the business grows.
