Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing is seeking a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer for the Chicago area. The role includes mentoring junior technicians and leading installation, repair, and maintenance of large commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components on equipment over 20 tons, reading electrical diagrams and blueprints, and ensuring safety per OSHA regulations. Base pay is hourly with comprehensive health, retirement, and PTO benefits.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience as a commercial HVAC installer or related position.
HVAC certification or relevant trade school education preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Understand mechanical and HVAC systems.
Diagnose, repair, and replace components on equipment >20 tons.
Diagnose, assess, and troubleshoot various types of HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, large rooftop units, split systems, water-source heat pumps, pumps and related plant equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance.
Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
Read electrical wiring diagrams and blueprints.
General understanding of test and balance.
Working on roofs or in mechanical rooms for extended periods.
Work on ladders and carry tools and sometimes heavy equipment.
Operate safely according to OSHA regulations and wear PPE.
