Job summary

Centurion Selection, LLC in Houston is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the estimating process for a strong pipeline of commercial construction projects. Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong background in ground-up commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet bid deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, trade scopes and subcontractor pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents to establish project scope.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and evaluate labor, material and equipment costs.
• Solicit subcontractor bids, review proposals and identify scope gaps.
• Develop conceptual, schematic and final construction budgets.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and potential cost risks.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors throughout preconstruction.
• Support bid presentations, contract negotiations and project handovers.
