Job summary

FMM is seeking an Electrical Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair or install electrical components for a commercial construction project in League City, TX. The role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to read blueprints and interpret diagrams.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, knowledge of NEC, proficiency with electrical testing equipment and power tools, and the ability to work with other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Adhere to safety protocol in a drug-free environment.
• Minimum five years of experience in the trade.
• Knowledge of safety rules and client/company policy.
• Ability to handle multiple projects per core values: Quality, Teamwork, Pride, Passion, Integrity.
• Proficient in computer, text, and email skills.
• Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of frame carpentry for installation purposes

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures per specs and codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems for continuity using testing devices.
• Inspect systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time and budget.
