Job summary

Owen Electric Company Inc. seeks a Lead Electrician to join our team in Florida. This hands-on leadership role focuses on mentoring crew members, ensuring high standards, and delivering quality electrical installations on commercial projects.

You will interpret blueprints, enforce NEC and local codes, and coordinate with project managers and inspectors to maintain safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Florida journeyman or master electrician license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee electrical installations on commercial and multifamily construction projects.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper layout and installation.
• Supervise and support journeymen, apprentices, and helpers on site.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsoccasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climbas needed during the workday.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoorsin various weather conditions.
• Ability to safely navigate construction sites, including uneven surfaces and ladders.
• Must be able to use hand tools and power toolsrequired for electrical tasks.
