Job summary

Tidal Construction Group is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to plan and execute commercial projects from site to closeout. This role spends most of the time on job sites, managing safety, schedule, quality, and on-site coordination for projects ranging from $2M to $10M across Florida’s east coast.

You will read plans, develop weekly look-ahead schedules, coordinate subcontractors and inspections, and ensure site documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction.
• Experience leading multiple construction projects.
• Experience with commercial project types including office, tenant improvements, renovations, mid-market projects, high-end restaurants, and medical office build-outs.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specifications; develop and maintain a 2-week look-ahead schedule.
• Eligible to work in the United States; resides in FL counties (e.g., St. Lucie, Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade).

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite planning and coordination of subcontractor’s work activities according to contract and guidelines.
• Read plans and specifications; develop and maintain schedules to deliver on time; create a 2-week look-ahead schedule.
• Ensure code compliance and coordinate quality inspections.
• Manage Shop Drawing process, material expediting, daily site cleanup; coordinate inspections and startup activities.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment on-site.
• Submit daily and weekly status updates to Senior Management; track key logs and records.
• Maintain all on-site documentation including contract documents and daily logs.
• Assist in the preparation of Change Proposals to Owners and ensure coverage for direct costs, equipment, and time-related work.
• Must be capable of lifting 40-80 lbs and have proper equipment or team assistance.
• Eligible to work in the United States; reside in specified counties.
