Alliant Energy is seeking a dedicated laboratory supervisor to oversee daily lab operations at the generating station. The role covers potable and process water analyses, report preparation, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Candidates will bring 3 years of lab experience in power generation, a Wisconsin WDNR operator certification, a valid driver's license, and strong skills in chemistry, electricity, and math, with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3 years of varied laboratory experience within the power plant or a closely related field.
• Pass and maintain a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources small water system operator certification.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of sampling techniques and procedures for WDNR wastewater sample collection, custody, analysis and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision and assume responsibility for all laboratory operations.
• Direct supervision over lab work including potable water, process water, and related analyses; prepare reports.
• Perform tests and analyses and maintain records as required by environmental regulations.
• Maintain laboratory facilities and supplies; order chemicals and reagents for testing and instrumentation.
• Calibrate and maintain sample system and demineralizer equipment; repair as needed.

This includes potable water, process water, and other related analyses required in the generating station, and preparation of reports regarding those analyses.
