Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a lead for the Distribution and Collection Operations team to oversee daily maintenance and repair of water and sewer systems.

This role requires strong plumbing experience, valid licenses, and the ability to train staff, respond to work orders, and manage safety, documentation, and after-hours callouts.

You will coordinate field crews at multiple sites, supervise tasks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and Pembroke Pines engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in maintenance of collection and distribution systems.
• Plumbing and sewer plumbing experience.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Ability to participate in weekly rotating after-hours callouts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, directs, trains and supervises distribution and collection personnel at work sites; provides instruction with more difficult trades.
• Responds to, generates, and closes out work orders; conducts onsite inspections; ensures safety, permitting, and recordkeeping compliance.
• Operates and maintains water and wastewater equipment such as backflow devices, hydrants, meters, valves, and related equipment.
• Performs daily/weekly preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment; responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
• May operate heavy construction equipment (backhoes, cranes, forklifts, jet vac trucks, etc.) and perform trench work.

Class B CDL with tanker endorsement

Job description

• Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
• Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Class 3Distribution Operator License
• FWPCOA Class C Collections License
• Experience in maintenance of collections and distributions systems
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Plumbing experience
• Sewer plumbing experience
• Prepare pre-task plan and conduct an all-hazards analysis to ensure the safety of the team in the execution of daily tasks
• Plans, directs, trains and supervises new and existing personnel at work sites; provides instruction with more difficult trades; carries out assigned tasks through utilization of materials and assigned personnel.
• Responds to, generates, and closes out work orders; conducts onsite inspections; ensures compliance with safety standards, permitting, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Ability to participate in weekly rotating "after hours" callout duty that requires prompt response on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays.
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots water and wastewater equipment such as backflow devices, fire hydrants, manholes, meter systems, valves, and other associated water and wastewater equipment.
• Performs basic water and sewer line installations and repairs and checks for low water pressure.
• Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance and routine cleaning as required.
• Assist in repairs of water/wastewater treatment system equipment, machinery, and transmission/distribution/collection lines.
• May operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, including backhoes, cranes, forklifts, jet vac trucks, dump trucks, and other associated water and wastewater equipment.
• Operate equipment used in trench work, including compactors
• Backfill excavations according to Pembroke Pines engineering specifications
• Restore excavations to original condition, including landscaping, concrete and asphalt replacement
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Turns water meters on and off, installs or assists with installation of meters and meter boxes
• Cleaning and clearing sewer lines
• Lift Station wet well cleaning
• Repairing breaks, leaks and installing new lines,
• Adjusting manhole covers and frame replacement
• Repair defective sewer lines and make point repairs
• Complete work orders and field complaint forms
• Perform other duties as required.

We are looking for an individual to lead a team of Distribution and Collection Operators to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the collection and distribution system. Especially looking for experience in plumbing of the collections (sewer) system.
