Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking an entry-level Collections & Distribution Operator-In-Training in Florida to support water and sewer system operations. You will assist with line installations, maintenance, and repairs while working toward required operator licenses and meeting safety standards.

The role involves after-hours on-call duties, equipment operation, and collaboration with a field team to ensure reliable service and timely problem resolution at multiple sites across the Florida system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• FDEP Class 3 Distribution Operator License or ability to obtain within one year.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic water and sewer line installations and repairs and check for low water pressure.
• Assist in scheduled preventative maintenance and routine cleaning as required.
• Assist in repairs of water/wastewater treatment system equipment and transmission/distribution/collection lines.
• May operate and maintain heavy construction equipment including backhoes, cranes, forklifts, dump trucks, and other water/wastewater equipment.
• Operate equipment used in trench work, including compactors.
• Backfill excavations according to Pembroke Pines engineering specifications.
• Restore excavations to original condition, including landscaping, concrete and asphalt replacement.
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Turn water meters on and off, install or assist with installation of meters and meter boxes.
• Clean and clear sewer lines.
• Lift Station wet well cleaning.
• Repair breaks and leaks and install new lines.
• Adjust manhole covers and frame replacement.
• Repair defective sewer lines and make pinpoint repairs.
• Complete work orders and field complaint forms

Education

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess, or be able to obtain, a FDEP Class 2 Distribution Operator License
• Possess, or be able to obtain, a FWPCOA Class C Collections License
• Possess, or be able to obtain, a Class B Commercial Driver's License

Ability to participate in weekly rotating \"after hours\" callout duty that requires prompt response on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays.
