Valley Health System in Las Vegas is seeking a Regional Coding Liaison to support the CBO and coding teams. You will ensure timely processing of requests and resolution of issues affecting account releases.

The role requires at least three years of acute care coding experience (inpatient and outpatient), CCS credential, and proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and the listed health information systems. On-site position.

Description

To assist Regional Coding Manager as the liaison between coders and CBO, ensuring CBO requests get processed in a timely manner. Works to ensure that accounts are released timely and that any concerns are addressed for resolution.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma. Higher education within related field preferred.

Experiencee: Minimum three years coding experience in acute care setting with experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient accounts for coding, auditing and education.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, SMS, Cerner, Siemens Document Imaging and 3M Encoder. Skilled in ICD-10-CM , ICD-10-PCS and CPT.

License/Certification: CCS required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.

Other: Must be able to deal appropriately with highly sensitive and confidential material.
