Job summary

The Foth Companies, a 100% employee-owned science and engineering consulting firm, seeks a Lead Coastal Engineer for Jacksonville, FL, with consideration for Palm Beach County area. You will lead complex coastal and waterfront projects from inception through delivery, including beach nourishment, shoreline stabilization, and coastal analyses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Ocean, or Coastal Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
10+ years of coastal engineering experience in feasibility, design, and/or construction management.
Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire).
Experience with leading complex coastal projects and client-facing work.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute coastal/waterfront projects from inception to delivery.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate resources across teams.
Support permitting, construction, and client communications.
Develop reports and construction documents for beach nourishment and shoreline projects.
Translate complex findings into clear client insights.
