Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate tools that mill, drill, broach and ream metal and plastic parts. You’ll adjust feeds, speeds and cutting tools to specification and read job specs to ensure accurate fabrication.

Typical tasks include measuring with gauges, assembling components, handling labeling, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following preventative maintenance and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED; 2–5 years experience preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC tools for milling, drilling, broaching and reaming.
• Select, measure and assemble tools using precision gauges.
• Read job specifications and shop drawings to determine adjustments and material needs.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; follow safety regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines and report issues to supervision.
