Job summary

Daniels Manufacturing Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Machinist Lead to manage the CNC Turning Center. You will guide daily production, troubleshoot tooling and processes, and ensure quality through first article inspections and compliant practices.

You will set up multi-axis turning centers, edit G/M code, select tools, and collaborate with engineering to optimize throughput and deliver precision components on time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Working knowledge of G and M code programming and editing.
• Experience performing precision inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workflow within the CNC Turning Center, supporting production priorities and serving as the first point of escalation for machining issues
• Set up and operate CNC turning centers, including multi-axis and live-tooling machines
• Program, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize turning programs using G and M code
• Conduct first article inspections and verify conformance to print specifications and quality requirements
• Lead shift handoff communication and help ensure materials, tooling, and equipment are available for production
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
