Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital is seeking a Lead Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to lead the CNA/PCT team at our Bossier City and Pierremont campuses while continuing to provide direct patient care. This working lead role focuses on organizing workflows, promoting accountability, and delivering safe, compassionate care in a LTAC setting.

Qualifications include Louisiana CNA certification, current BLS, and 1–2 years of CNA experience with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; current Louisiana CNA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of CNA experience; hospital/LTAC experience preferred.
• Strong attendance and dependability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork.
• Ability to prioritize patient-care needs and assist with unit workflow.
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing CNA/PCT assignments and workflow.
• Participate in shift report and walking rounds.
• Provide hands-on patient care and assist with ADLs.
• Ensure timely vital signs, hygiene, toileting, repositioning, rounding, and other assigned patient-care duties.
• Reinforce Q2-hour rounding/turning and fall-prevention expectations.
• Monitor completion of assigned CNA/PCT responsibilities.
• Assist and support CNA/PCT staff when patient-care needs increase.
• Immediately communicate patient-care, safety, staffing, or performance concerns to the Charge Nurse.
• Assist with orienting and supporting new CNA/PCT staff.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and excellent patient care.

Lead CNA Responsibilities
