Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital is seeking a CNA/MHT/PCT to support nursing staff on LTAC units in Shreveport/Bossier City. The role involves assisting patients with ADLs, taking vital signs, and delivering compassionate care on a busy medical floor.

The position offers 12-hour shifts, a team-focused environment, and opportunities to work with a variety of patient populations in an LTAC setting. A CNA certification and BLS are required or in place, with LTAC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1–2 years nursing assistant experience, LTAC preferred
• Successful completion of certification program for nursing assistants
• Compassionate, interpersonal skills and enjoy helping others

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and obtain vital signs on the medical floor
• Support medical staff in administering care to hospitalized patients
• Promote safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment for patients in geriatric psych and detox units

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. With two locations, Shreveport Campus and Bossier City Campus, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

The Certified Nursing Assistant, Mental Health Techs, and Patient Care Tech roles are responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients while being hospitalized. The duties of the Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Tech include assisting patients with ADLs and obtaining vital signs on the medical floor. The duties of the Mental Health Tech include assisting patients with ADLs, obtaining vital signs, promoting safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment for inpatient geriatric psych and adult detox patients.

Qualifications:

• One to two years nursing assistant experience, LTAC preferred
