Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Lead Cloud Software Engineer to drive design, development and integration of cloud-based applications across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to define architectures, APIs, microservices and deployment pipelines in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Responsibilities include leading cloud software initiatives, implementing scalable, highly available services, and ensuring secure, compliant deployments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6–9 years software experience.
• Graduate Degree with 4–7 years of software experience; or 10–12 years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and integration of cloud software in an Agile environment.
• Develop cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments for end-to-end integration.
• Coordinate with team and customers to review designs and estimates; document risks and assumptions.
• Leverage DevOps to build and improve automated build, test and deployment environments.
• Provide operational support to meet high availability and SLAs.
• Design, develop, and deploy microservices in Kubernetes-based environments (e.g., EKS).
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security and FAA/public trust considerations.
