Job Description

BAE Systems, Inc. Intelligence and Security is seeking a Lead Cloud Security Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing security measures for cloud-based information technology environments and related capability solutions. As a Lead Cloud Security Architect, this position will be responsible for ensuring the security of applicable cloud infrastructure and solutions; developing and implementing security standards and best practices; and providing technical guidance to other security architects and engineers.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Develop and implement security measures for cloud-based solutions that meet Government requirements.
2. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other security architects and engineers.
3. Develop and implement security standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure and solutions in AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP cloud platforms hosted in FedRAMP and FedRAMP environments.
4. Evaluate new cloud security technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions.
6. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
7. Serve as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives to ensure consistent and sufficient identification and implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls in concert with the agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security guidelines.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with CSPs and vendors.
9. Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security solutions.
10. Understand and implement the following standards: DISA STIG and NIST SP 800-53.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

1. 8 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
2. 2 years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment.
3. Experience with FedRAMP or FedRAMP environments.
4. DoDI 8570.01/8140.02 IASAE Level-III Compliant Certification or IASAE II (i.e., a CISSP-IASSEP or CISSP-ISSAP) achieving IASAE III within six months of contract award.
5. Experience with public cloud providers (certificate preferred) such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP in FedRAMP and FedRAMP environments.
6. Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions operating within the Government, including DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).
7. Experience with cloud security technologies such as identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
8. Must possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret Security Clearance at time of award and throughout the duration of the contract.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
