Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is hiring a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to work in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO. The role requires U.S.

citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for CI Poly. Lead architecture and build of a secure, federated, multi-cloud platform enabling Digital Engineering workflows across enclaves. You will direct cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, GitOps, IaC/CaC, and DevSecOps practices to support enterprise modeling and data fabric.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cloud native platform development and operations.
• Strong Kubernetes orchestration and multi-cloud experience.
• Hands-on with IaC/CaC (Terraform, Helm, Dockerfiles) and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Understanding of Zero Trust, identity federation, and secret management.
• Experience in DoD or high-compliance environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and evolution of a secure multi-cloud Cloud Native Platform.
• Oversee platform architecture, deployment, and operations across AWS, Azure, on-prem, and enclaves.
• Drive CI/CD, IaC/CaC pipelines and platform automation.
• Collaborate with MBSE, data engineers, cyber, and enterprise architects.
• Enforce Zero Trust, manage secrets and PaC, and ensure accreditation workflows.
