Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Cloud Platform in Jersey City, NJ. Build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and AI-enabled data platforms, guiding DevEx and developer tooling adoption across the enterprise.

You will drive modern SDLC practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead initiatives to improve delivery speed, reliability, and governance in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.).
• Expertise in DevEx and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Spinnaker, Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Cloud security best practices and DevSecOps processes.
• Programming proficiency in Golang or Python.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the cloud engineering team.
• Lead design/development of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and platform tools.
• Advise on modern DevEx practices and CI/CD tooling adoption.
• Align platform roadmaps with business priorities and modernize SDLC.
• Evaluate and govern strategic tooling to improve developer experience.
• Collaborate to identify and eliminate platform bottlenecks.
• Define paved paths and self-service workflows for developers.
• Implement real-time telemetry pipelines for observability.
