The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software or platform engineering, 5+ years AWS, 3+ years Terraform, 3+ years Kubernetes/Docker, and strong Python/Java skills. Recent coding experience is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/cloud/platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS experience building enterprise-scale platforms.
• 3+ years Terraform / IaC experience.
• 3+ years production Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• 3+ years professional Python and/or Java development.
• 3+ years enterprise data platform experience.
• Experience building data lakes and data pipelines.
• Recent hands-on coding within the last 1–2 years.
• Strong technical leadership without formal people management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support cloud-native software and platform services.
• Develop APIs, automation, and self-service platform capabilities.
• Build and maintain scalable data lakes and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, security, and performance.
• Develop reusable engineering patterns and standards.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and engineering teams.
• Shape the technical direction and long-term roadmap for enterprise data platforms.
