Job summary

Deloitte France is seeking a Lead Data Engineer II to join our AI & Data practice. You will lead the design and delivery of scalable data solutions for client engagements, guiding distributed teams across continents and collaborating with clients to deliver value.

The role requires 8+ years in tech consulting in financial services, 3+ years leading cloud modernization on AWS, Azure, and GCP, and strong data engineering, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering technology consulting engagements in the financial services industry.
• 3+ years of experience leading cloud modernization initiatives across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of cumulative experience across data engineering, ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality, data discovery, data lineage, and data governance, including hands-on experience with PySpark and SQL.
• 3+ years of experience leading and delivering complex technical engagements with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, information technology, or a related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of scalable technical solutions for client engagements.
• Lead small engagements or key workstreams within larger technology transformation programs for clients.
• Manage cross-functional distributed delivery teams and client relationships across the engagement lifecycle, while contributing to proposal and business development efforts.
• Oversee quality of team deliverables and recommendations while contributing to hands-on solution delivery across distributed teams.
