Children’s Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia seeks an ABA Lead Clinician to oversee the clinical team, ensure treatment integrity, and maintain a productive, child-centered environment.

You will supervise ABA-BHTs, carry a small caseload, develop and monitor treatment and skill acquisition plans, conduct assessments (FBA and Skill Assessment), train caregivers and staff, and ensure timely documentation and data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • At least 12 college credits in ABA coursework.
  • Licensed BCBA is required.
  • Minimum of one year full-time postgraduate experience providing mental health direct services to children.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry a caseload of up to five children.
  • Complete initial assessments including Functional Behavior Assessment and Skill Assessment.
  • Develop treatment plans and skill acquisition programming, data collection systems, and reinforcement schemes.
  • Provide training and consultation to caregivers, support staff, and treatment team.
  • Review, monitor, and adjust intervention effectiveness and skill acquisition goals monthly.
  • Complete reassessments to determine continuation of services and levels of care at least every 6 months.
  • Provide supervision to ABA-BHTs and train them on data collection and intervention implementation.

Job description

The ABA Lead Clinician will ensure the overall clinical and operational integrity of their clinical team. They are responsible for the productivity of that team and ensure that the team is functioning with solid treatment integrity at all times. The Lead Clinician’s primary responsibilities are to lead their respective team, manage a healthy and proactive relationship with children, families and school communities. This includes completing functional behavior assessments, skill assessments, designing treatment plans/ skill acquisition plans, training others to implement the plan, ongoing consultation, monthly data analysis, caregiver training. In addition the ABA Lead Clinician provides on-going training and supervision of ABA- BHTs within their clinical team.

Summary of Essential Functions:

  • Carry a caseload of approximately up to five children
  • Complete initial assessments to include Functional Behavior Assessment and Skill Assessment
  • Develop individual treatment plan, skill acquisition programming, data collection systems, and reinforcement systems
  • Provide training and consultation to caregivers, support staff, and treatment team
  • Review, monitor, and adjust intervention effectiveness and skill acquisition goals on a monthly basis
  • Complete reassessments to recommend continuation of services and appropriate ongoing levels of care at a minimum of every 6 months or as needed
  • Provide individual supervision to ABA-BHT’s
  • Train ABA-BHT’s to collect data, implement treatment plan interventions, and skill acquisition programming on mutual cases
  • Ensure that supervision and training for staff is being provided as required by the state/CBH
  • Keep track of supervision through the use of supervisory notes and maintained in a supervisory electronic log
  • Review clinical progress notes
  • Oversee the quality of BHT’s overall job performance, ensure timely completion of and quality control of the documentation of work
  • Provide BHT’s with supervisory support during the hours that ABA services are being provided
  • Evaluate staff on an annual basis
  • Maintain a positive, professional and collaborative relationship and partnership with staff, children, families and school community
  • Work collaboratively with all CCTC departments to ensure the clinical needs of children and families are being met
  • Keep current on annual training requirements
  • Attend regular on site mandatory trainings in areas such as but not limited to annual and CPR
  • Ensure that staff follow Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s policies and procedures
  • Communicates staffing or performance issues to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Ensures that staff file incident reports and brings such reports to the attention of the Supervisor within 24 hours of occurrence
  • Ensure that staff are following Children Crisis Treatment Center’s policy and procedures
  • Attends weekly supervision with the ABA supervisor and a monthly group supervision
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Team Leader or Division Director

Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.
Has completed a minimum of 12 college credits in ABA coursework.
Licensed BCBA required.
Minimum of one year of full-time postgraduate experience in the provision of mental health direct services to children.
Strong interpersonal skills.
