Lead Clinician

Academic Requirements: Required – Master’s degree in social work with two (2) years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience OR a master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement with two (2) years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience OR bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences.

Licenses Required: Ability to obtain LPC; Preferred - Current LPC.

Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention.

Work Experience: Required – Two (2) plus years related experience and/or training including supervisory experience; Preferred – Four (4) plus years related experience and/or training, including supervisory.

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
  • Maintain on-call schedule for the support of children and staff.
  • Engage in a quality assurance plan for compliance.
  • Provide routine consultation and supervision for clinicians.
  • Offer counseling, crisis management, evaluations, and other clinical functions as needed.
  • Participate in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children if needed.
  • Record relevant clinical data and report as required.
  • Maintain accurate and current child records and files.
  • Support staff with admission/discharge data.
  • Ensure timely processing and reunification of unaccompanied alien children.
  • Assist in discharge planning.
  • Stay informed about community resources.
  • Communicate effectively with referral sources and providers.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions.
  • Engage in professional growth activities.
  • Prepare and maintain reports per agency policies and standards.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Implement safety protocols including evacuations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Complete goal-oriented psychosocial assessments, service plans, and progress reports.
  • Conduct children’s groups on specific topics weekly.
  • Ensure clinical department meets all requirements.
  • Meet all deadlines set by supervisors and partners.
  • Support foster care programs by recruiting and encouraging foster parents.
Requirements:
  • Pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screens.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility.
  • Pass criminal background checks.
  • Demonstrate ability to respond sensitively to cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Work collaboratively and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Maintain emotional control in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have computer literacy to perform job responsibilities.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
