Job summary

Noctrix Health, Inc. seeks a Senior Clinical Research Scientist to lead clinical research strategy and execution for emerging therapeutic technologies. You will work with engineering, regulatory, and clinical teams to translate physiological data into product insights and clinical evidence.

The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Pleasanton, CA, with about 10% travel. Responsibilities include study design, data analysis, algorithm development, and dissemination through grants and publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years leading clinical research projects, preferably within the medical device industry.
• 2+ years of experience with physiological signal analysis and algorithm development.
• Strong first-author publication and/or grant-writing record.
• Proficiency in Python or equivalent programming language.
• Strong data-analysis skills across small and large data sets.
• Experience designing research studies and protocols, analysis plans, and documentation.
• Experience managing collaborations with investigators, research sites, or external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including scientific, regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the execution of multiple clinical research studies.
• Lead the analysis and interpretation of physiological and clinical data sets.
• Develop research strategies, study plans, protocols, CRFs, and analysis plans.
• Develop proof-of-concept algorithms from biosensor data.
• Collaborate with embedded systems engineers on data collection systems.
• Partner with Clinical Affairs, Engineering, Product, Regulatory, and other teams.
• Write and submit grant reports, white papers, abstracts, and manuscripts.
• Present research findings at conferences and in publications.
• Develop partnerships with investigators and external sites.
• Provide training and ongoing support to external partners.
• Translate research findings into product specifications and clinical strategies.
• Identify opportunities to expand the clinical research program.
• Maintain study documentation and ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice.
