Texan Eye in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to supervise the research team and work with physicians to develop cutting-edge treatments.

The role requires coordinating patient care in trials, ensuring protocol compliance, and maintaining regulatory documentation while upholding HIPAA and GCP standards. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; some college preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting with patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enlist, maintain, and ensure protocol compliance for patients in clinical trials.
• Collaborate with physician to determine patient eligibility for trials.
• Ensure research quality by following SOPs, GCP, and regulations.
• Coordinate patient care per protocol; may disburse study drug and provide patient teaching.
• Review patient changes, adverse events, and documentation of findings with physician.
• Ensure accurate data collection, entry, and reporting; support monitoring and audits.
• Maintain regulatory documents per SOPs and regulations.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.
