Qualifications

• Provides assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy utilizing a broad range of therapeutic techniques as indicated by the specific needs of children, adolescents, adults, groups, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychological tests for differentiating between organic and functional causes of emotional disturbances and/or behaviors.
• Provides assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy utilizing a broad range of therapeutic techniques as indicated by the specific needs of children, adolescents, adults, groups, and their families.
• Provides thorough and concise written documentation of evaluations, treatment and case management services, psychological test summaries, treatment plans, referrals, and correspondence.
• Documents and forwards appropriate clinical referrals and records and liaises with outside treatment professionals and the local contract health billing office.
• Provides consultation to a wide variety of Indian Health Service staff including physicians and other health care professionals, paraprofessionals, and mental health clinicians in providing and interpreting psychological evaluations and testing.
• Participates in clinic, hospital-wide, and area-wide continuing education activities by providing accredited and non-accredited in service trainings on a rotational basis to physicians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, administrators and mental health professionals
