Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively more responsible work experience in medical device industry or equivalent.
  • Ability to apply clinical understanding to resolve project issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and scheduling abilities.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%, including internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large group of engineers and scientists and manage clinical development for multiple projects.
  • Plan and implement product development projects with technical leadership.
  • Ensure objectives, logistics, and budgets, acting as cross-functional liaison.
  • Learn product offerings and regulatory requirements across geographies.
  • Engage with customers to define clinical/workflow requirements and voice of customer.
  • Lead work with field/medical personnel to set benchmarks for clinical performance.
  • Interpret data to provide insights and identify future product opportunities.
  • Drive design documentation and pre-clinical protocols to on-time completion.
  • Report progress and final findings to management and product teams.
  • Support FDA/regulatory compliance and risk management activities.
