Job summary

Providence Health and Services is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. You will oversee daily division operations, provide technical leadership, and manage quality assurance initiatives with independence and professional judgment.

This role requires a California CLS license at hire, a science degree, and relevant CLS experience, with ASCP certification preferred. The position is full-time, on-site in Orange, with an evening shift and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Science.
California CLS License required on hire.
California Clinical Chemist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Hematology Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License required on hire.
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License required on hire.
1 year experience as a CLS.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operation of the division.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff.
Support leadership on special projects/activities as agreed with supervisor/manager.
Ensure quality assurance across processes and tests.
