Job summary

Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist to support a busy lab in Norfolk, VA. You will perform and assist with a range of tests, maintain instrumentation, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff and other clinicians regarding test results and patient data.
• 6–12 months of laboratory training or related experience to become familiar with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Manager or Lead Clinical Lab Scientist on a variety of lab projects.
• Participates in PI, QA, and QC to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Acts in a charge or lead role to ensure safe, efficient workflow and staffing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
