Position Summary

The Lead Clinical Case Management Supervisor will provide case management oversight of the referral and intake process of the SIL program, providing leadership and training to case‑management staff. The role establishes effective relationships with people with mental health issues and meets the goals of individual client‑centered care plans, which may include service coordination, medication management support, assistance with life skills training, finding and maintaining housing and healthcare. A collaborative and results‑oriented leader who will supervise master’s level social work and multidisciplinary case‑management staff and manage overall operations of an integrated services program. The supervisor monitors outcomes toward achieving program and individual outcomes, coordinates with other agency departments, hires and evaluates staff, develops resources and implements training to ensure a well‑trained, high‑functioning team, and provides direct oversight of all program aspects to ensure quality and compliance. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Clinical Program Director.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop, and supervise/coach a multidisciplinary team of social work and case‑management staff; lead team members in setting personal and program‑wide work goals and maintaining accountability for goal achievement; facilitate regular weekly staff meetings.
• Provide training and consultation grounded in evidence‑based practice, including trauma‑informed care, strength‑based approach and motivational interviewing; work with the management team to implement, train, and coach staff in best‑practice strategies.
• Ensure quality of services and accuracy and timeliness of all participant records, including timely submission of all utilization, fidelity and outcome data; participate in meetings to review participant progress and use data to evaluate progress and recalibrate interventions.
• Implement intake and referral systems to ensure full census, low vacancies, and retention in program.
• Manage team to ensure baseline and in‑program assessments, summaries and action plans are timely and accurate.
• Provide procedural oversight and assign cases to program case managers.
• Intake all ACCESS referrals of new clients to the SIL Program.
• Facilitate weekly and bi‑weekly triage meetings to coordinate services.
• Support team training to develop rapport, case management, crisis intervention, documentation and time‑management skills.
• Ensure that 52 % of activities are linked to billable behavioral health services.
• Build, maintain and comply with Bonita House’s policies and procedures related to day‑to‑day program operations, in collaboration with the Clinical Program Director, and maintain records such as staff performance evaluations, professional development strategies, training recommendations.
• Foster relationships with collaborative partners and potential referral sources, including police departments, justice system, behavioral health services staff, county healthcare staff and others.
• Develop relationships with the community to instill support and confidence in the agency and program; serve as a spokesperson when called upon.
• Assist in developing materials, assessment tools, and other program processes, documents and tools.
• Facilitate regular team and case conference meetings.
• Assist in coaching staff and continuing educational efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Program Director.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field and active registration (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
• At least three years of full‑time social work or casework employment in family or child welfare services.
• Strong dedication to cultural competency that removes barriers and increases belonging.
• Three years’ experience working with people with moderate to severe mental health needs, histories of homelessness, and/or co‑occurring disorders.
• Background checks conducted and satisfactory completion required for employment.
• A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, insurance as required by law, and an MVR showing suitability for agency auto liability policies.
• Local travel and ability to operate motor vehicles as required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Typical work is performed in an office or community‑based setting with standard lighting, temperature and noise levels. The position requires periods of sitting, standing and walking throughout the day. Employees may need to move between offices, program spaces and meeting areas, including stairs. Occasionally the supervisor must lift, carry or move items up to 15 pounds. The role requires operating office equipment, talking and hearing in person and by telephone, and reading printed and digital materials. Regular travel to multiple agency and partner locations within the Bay Area is required; reliable transportation is essential.
