Job Summary

Oversees the work completed by Analysts in the duties of gathering, analyzing, designing, developing, modifying, testing, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of clinical information technologies to support clinical practice. Advanced knowledge of specific application components. Partner with Business Analyst and Project Manager to ensure business requirements are met. Communicate project progress and outcomes to appropriate health system departments and personnel. Possess a working knowledge of current clinical practice, regulatory healthcare requirements and healthcare information systems and knowledge of existing Service Level Agreements (SLA) and ensure compliance with standards.

Use data to support clinical decision-making and identify desired outcomes. Able to research, analyze and make recommendations for application work flow improvements and create and analyze reports created using multiple reporting mechanisms. Utilize high level of customer service while promoting and participating in the team approach. Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Training presentation techniques and skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills and efficient use of Microsoft Office software. A positive attitude and superior customer service skills. Skill level needed to become proficient in Sanford assigned applications as well as a basic knowledge of other Sanford applications. Integration of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices in daily work with business stakeholders and information technology (IT) team members.

Act as a liaison to assigned leaders and departments as well as providers in order to facilitate optimal use of applications. Ability to hold team members accountable for application standards and capacity to delegate project tasks and project lifecycle support and mentor team members. Skillful in managing change. Adjusts to new or changing assignments, processes, and people. Identifies and considers alternative approaches to situations or problems. A willingness to maintain active knowledge in area of specialty in order to maintain current clinical practice and end user perspectives.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a clinical field preferred.

Previous experience in Information Technology is preferred.

Licensed/registered/certified in a clinical field within Sanford’s footprint. Employees are expected to conform to renewal guidelines per discipline. Information Technology (IT) certification obtained within six months of date of hire and within three attempts of certification testing, if applicable.
