Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader. This on-site role combines outdoor work with leadership as you guide a crew in arboricultural care, using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing methods.

You will perform pruning, installation of cables and braces, removal of hazards, and mentor teammates through Davey’s Career Development Program. The company offers paid time off, a 401(k) with match, health plan, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Lead a crew in providing arboricultural care, safely and productively.
• Follow Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E.) process.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and aerial lifts.
