Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Chantilly, VA is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor-first team. This role is on-site and involves climbing, pruning and removal work, with a focus on tree health and safety.

You will be part of a crew that collaborates to deliver quality tree care and environmental services. We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants, hourly pay ranging from $26 to $33 depending on experience, and a permanent full-time position with benefits

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide licenses/certificates if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees and work with DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as a crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Execute pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection; remove hazardous trees.
