We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team and make a profound impact on the lives of children with special needs. As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Ensure compliance with EI regulations by completing all required documentation, including EI session notes and quarterly reports, justification letters, and child outcome summary exit forms
  • Conduct assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each child's unique needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized educational programs that address the specific goals and challenges of each student.
  • Lead engaging and interactive group activities that promote active learning and foster social interaction among students.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, including related services providers, staff, and parents, to ensure a holistic and individualized approach to education.
  • Monitor and track student progress, collecting data and maintaining accurate records to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to teaching assistants, registered behavior techs and support staff, fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages student growth and development.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.

Requirements

Must have either Student with Disabilities (Birth to Grade 2) Professional or Initial OR

Teacher of Special Education (Permanent). All others need not apply

  • Possess a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies.
  • Have experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Show a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their overall well-being and success.
