Job summary

Community Services for Children is hiring Lead Classroom Teachers for Head Start and Pre-K Counts. We seek experienced, energetic, and caring team members to impact young learners and their families.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Three years of preschool classroom experience
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift 20 lbs
• All CSC team members must complete state and federal clearances before start

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational programming within an active project-based classroom.
• Implement positive behavior supports to promote self-regulation and pro-social behaviors in preschool children aged 3-5.
• Complete screenings and formative/summative assessments for each child.
• Partner with each child’s family to ensure a collaborative educational experience.
• Work flexible hours including evenings to meet family and program needs.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate Assistant Teacher.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
  • OR advanced degree in any subject with coursework equivalent to an ECE-related major
  • OR Active Level 1 PK-4 certification
• Three years preschool classroom experience.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Reliable transportation.
• All CSC team members are required to complete their state and federal clearances prior to start. Some roles require also a physical and TB exam.
