MedPro Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Claims Manager for our Physicians & Surgeons team serving the Midwest region. This role focuses on confirming coverage, managing claims and suits against policyholders, and coordinating litigation with external counsel.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of claim handling experience, preferably healthcare or professional liability, with a J.D. preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of claim handling experience; healthcare or liability claims preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Confirm coverage and manage claims and suits against policyholders.
• Interpret, analyze, and resolve coverage issues.
• Select legal counsel.
• Manage the litigation with outside counsel.
• Manage litigation costs, including fees and expenses.
• Post reserves for loss and ALE.
• Resolve cases via settlement, dismissal or trial.
• Negotiate.
• Provide service to insureds and assist in sales/retention efforts of the sales force.
• Perform other activities required of a front line claims person.
