Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited four-year university.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license with 5+ years of progressively responsible civil and structural engineering experience.
• Experience designing industrial foundations, reinforced concrete structures, structural steel systems, and equipment support structures.
• Proficiency in civil-related 3D modeling and analysis software such as SkyCiv or RISA.
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A professional demeanour with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

Chapman Consulting, Inc. (CCI) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Lead Civil/Structural Engineer. This role is intended for experienced engineers with a background in industrial foundation and structural design and analysis. Applications primarily involve pipeline facilities, compressor stations, chemical plants, warehouses, and other industrial facilities. This position also provides the opportunity to expand into related disciplines such as pipe stress, hydraulic analysis, and facility design while leading project execution, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as a technical resource for clients.

CCI is a consulting and engineering design firm specializing in projects for oil and gas, petrochemical, and process industries. Our office is in Lafayette, LA. We provide a variety of onshore and offshore services to our clients and have been in business since 1989. As a consulting firm, the work we do is challenging but rewarding. • Experience with the design of piping systems (sizing valves, sizing pumps, speccing pipe, etc.)
• Field experience in facilities engineering
• Experience with the design and selection of helical piles
