Job summary
Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to support the Kesselring Site. You will apply your engineering expertise to maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, coordinating with end users, unions, compliance staff, and planning organizations.
This role includes developing designs, contract specs, and providing field support through construction, commissioning, and project closeout. Candidates should hold a related technical degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience or
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 4+ years or a PhD with 1+ year.
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary project teams in design and construction bid documents.
- Ability to develop engineering documents, drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts for maintenance, renovation, and repair projects on facilities and infrastructure.
- Develop designs and contract specifications, coordinating with internal teams and external firms.
- Prepare corrective maintenance documents, material lists, sketches and cost estimates.
- Support bid and procurement processes and provide field engineering support during construction and commissioning.
