Job summary

Ripple Effect Consulting seeks a Project Engineer to join our Las Vegas Land Development team. You will oversee design and production for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery across all phases.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff and coordinating with agencies and clients. You will contribute to site layouts, grading, utilities, and detention pond plans, with strong focus on accuracy, reports, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Current EIT or PE licensure.
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the engineering design and production including site layout, grading operations, utility infrastructure, and detention pond plans with an emphasis on residential subdivisions and commercial developments.
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating work product through all project phases independently and on schedule; coordinate with review agencies and multiple project leads.
• Assist in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications for subdivisions, multifamily developments, commercial developments, and public works projects.
• Review work from Design Engineers to ensure sound and accurate designs, plans, and reports meeting criteria and client goals.
• Act as a mentor and oversee design engineers, providing direction and training to younger staff.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, developers, contractors, and review agencies from concept through construction.
• Efficient time management to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
