Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Managing Consultant, Civil and Environmental Engineer in the Pacific Northwest, based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. You will lead civil and remediation design efforts to protect health and restore the environment, while mentoring staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Required: a civil or environmental engineering degree and 4+ years in site remediation, along with familiarity with CERCLA/MTCA and tools like Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 4+ years of site remediation and civil design experience, incl grading, drainage, and stormwater.
• Experience leading remedial design from site investigation to implementation.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with CERCLA, MTCA, or similar remediation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or similar design tools.
• Ability to manage projects and lead multi-person teams.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design deliverables, including engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and opinions of probable costs.
• Manage and execute civil and remedial design tasks or projects, including scope, budget, and schedule tracking.
• Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and retention.
• Support business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, and cross-selling ERM’s services.
