Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of commercial project construction superintendent experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification and knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and safe operating practices/maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, layouts and other documents; ensure scopes are completed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends/nights as needed.
• Ability to anticipate problems and make decisions to maintain schedule.
• Ability to communicate with clients and provide project details.
• Experience managing schedules, including two-week lookaheads.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, inspects, and approves day-to-day operations of civil construction projects.
• Completes on-site paperwork and documentation.
• Coordinates projects with management, subcontractors, and employees.
• Schedules, manages, and assists subcontractors.
• Sets expectations with subcontractors and holds them accountable.
• Ensures a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards.
• Prepares meetings, safety talks, reports, and logs.
• Be willing to provide labor when required.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
