Job summary

Hunter Environmental in Norfolk, MA is seeking a hands-on project leader to own every job from site walk to closeout. You’ll manage schedules and budgets, foresee issues, and drive safety and quality on urban infrastructure and civil projects.

You will work closely with foremen, superintendents, and clients, making clear decisions in the field and the office. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years managing heavy civil, excavating, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience running projects for public agencies, transit authorities, and municipalities, including the required documentation and permitting.
• Ability to read civil drawings, specs, and site plans and turn them into a schedule and a field plan.
• A track record managing several varied projects at once, from small on-call jobs to larger infrastructure work.
• Comfortable splitting time between the office and active jobsites, including urban work.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and cost tracking software.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to get to jobsites across the region on short notice, including during snow events.
• Physical ability to walk active construction sites in all weather, including uneven ground and confined urban conditions.

Responsibilities

• Own each job from site walk to closeout, managing schedule and budget throughout the project.
• Identify problems early and resolve them before they cost time or money.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate before moving forward.
• Walk sites regularly and support field crews.
• Communicate with foremen, superintendents, and clients to keep everyone informed.
