A leading IT staffing firm is seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and manage a global enterprise network infrastructure centered around Cisco technologies in Niles, IL. This role requires over 8 years of experience in network engineering and architecture, with expertise in Cisco platforms. The ideal candidate will provide technical mentorship, lead complex network projects, and ensure high performance and security across network environments.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering and architecture.
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, policy creation, and AD/LDAP integration.
Familiarity with network performance monitoring tools is essential.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of Cisco enterprise network solutions.
Manage and optimize Cisco Umbrella and other cloud-delivered security platforms.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
Skills
Expert-level knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA/FTD, and Meraki
Strong understanding of Cisco Umbrella and cloud security models
Proficiency in routing and switching protocols
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities
8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering and architecture
Education
Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE
