Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a CDA certification, or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in early childhood development, elementary education, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development, elementary education, or related field preferred.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s growth across five domains (social/emotional, cognitive, physical, self-care, communication/literacy) using research-based methods.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to maintain an engaging, child-centered classroom and document child progress.
• Follow state licensing regulations and accreditation standards; participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly classroom; handle accidents and incidents appropriately.
• Assist with training hourly aides and communicate with families about classroom activities.
