Child Development Schools in McDonough, Georgia is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide young learners through hands-on activities, storytelling, and meaningful daily experiences. You will foster curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth within a warm, safe classroom environment.

You will collaborate with families, colleagues, and center leadership to document progress, communicate regularly, and ensure licensing standards are met while supporting each child’s development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Completion of 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire.
• Commitment to children's safety and well-being.
• Strong communication with families.
• Physical ability to work with young children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.
